Participant contacts

Add the right people with the right details, and connect a plan manager for invoicing.

Last updated · 25 June 2026

The Contacts tab holds the people around a participant. Each contact has a type, which decides what details you capture and how the contact is used elsewhere in the platform.

The Contacts tab with a table of contacts, each showing a name, relationship and phone or email, and an Add contact button.

Contact types

When you add a contact you choose a type. Nominee, Guardian, Family and Emergency contact are the people in the participant’s life. Plan manager, Support coordinator and Clinician are the professionals involved in their plan.

What each contact needs

  • First name, last name and phone are always required.
  • For the personal types, you can add a relationship (for example Mother or Brother).
  • For the professional types, an email is required and you can add a business name. When you add one of these, you can also pick an existing contact of that type from your directory instead of re-entering them.
  • Preferred contact (Phone, Email or SMS) and notes are optional.

How contacts are used

  • An emergency contact is who your workers reach if something happens on a shift.
  • A plan manager can be selected as the invoice recipient on a service agreement.
  • When you add a support coordinator, you set Acts as plan manager?. If yes, that coordinator can fill the plan-manager role for a plan-managed participant.

Select Add contact to add one, or Save contact when editing.
