Travel on a shift
Provider travel, activity transport and return travel, and what is claimed.
Last updated · 25 June 2026
Travel is recorded against a worker’s assignment on the shift, in three parts:
- Provider travel to the participant, the worker’s trip to the participant before the shift.
- Activity transport, transport during the shift, for example taking the participant out.
- Provider return travel, the trip back afterwards.
Each travel entry records the distance and time, and you choose whether to claim the time, the costs, or both. Whether provider travel can be claimed depends on the worker being paid for it (set on the worker’s profile) and the participant’s service agreement allowing it. The default vehicle (standard, or modified or bus at a higher rate) comes from the worker’s profile and can be adjusted per assignment.
